QBiQ Privacy Policy

Last updated: October 12, 2026

QBiQ ("the app", "we", "us") is a puzzle game developed by Alvaro Mendoza Sainz ("the developer"). This policy explains what information is involved when you play QBiQ, who handles it, and the choices you have.

The short version: QBiQ has no accounts and the developer runs no servers. Your progress, credits and settings stay on your iPhone. The app shows ads provided by Google AdMob, which may collect device and usage data to serve and measure ads, subject to your consent where required by law. Purchases are handled by Apple.

1. Information stored on your device

To make the game work, QBiQ saves on your device:

This information stays on your device. It is not sent to the developer. It is deleted when you delete the app. Because there are no accounts, the developer cannot restore it for you; "Remove Ads" can be restored at any time with "Restore purchases".

2. Advertising (Google AdMob)

QBiQ is free and is supported by ads. It shows a banner ad and, only if you choose to watch one, rewarded video ads that give you credits.

Ads are provided by Google AdMob. To serve, limit, measure and personalise ads and to prevent fraud, Google may collect information from your device, such as your IP address (and an approximate location derived from it), device identifiers like the identifier for vendor (IDFV), device and system information, information about the ads you see and interact with, and diagnostic data.

QBiQ does not ask for permission to track you across apps (App Tracking Transparency) and does not access your device's advertising identifier (IDFA).

How Google uses this information is described in Google's Privacy Policy and at https://policies.google.com/technologies/partner-sites. You can manage Google ad personalisation at https://adssettings.google.com.

Where required by law (for example in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom, Switzerland and certain US states), QBiQ shows Google's consent form before ads are requested. You can change your choice at any time from Settings → Privacy in the game (the button appears where it applies).

4. In-app purchases

Purchases ("Remove Ads" and credit packs) are processed by Apple through the App Store. The developer does not receive your payment details. Apple's privacy policy applies: https://www.apple.com/legal/privacy/.

5. Game Center (optional)

If you are signed in to Apple Game Center, QBiQ submits your daily puzzle scores, your highest level and your achievements to Game Center. Your Game Center nickname may be shown on leaderboards to other players. This is handled by Apple under Apple's privacy policy. You can sign out of Game Center in iOS Settings at any time.

6. Sharing

If you tap "Share", QBiQ creates an image of your solved puzzle and opens the iOS share sheet. Nothing is sent unless you choose where to share it.

7. Analytics and crash reports

QBiQ does not include third-party analytics. If you enabled "Share with App Developers" in your iOS settings, Apple may provide the developer with anonymous, aggregated crash and usage statistics. You can turn this off in Settings → Privacy & Security → Analytics & Improvements.

8. Children

QBiQ is suitable for all ages but is not directed to children under 13 (or the minimum age in your country). The developer does not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child's data has been collected through the ads, contact us and we will help you reach Google.

9. Data retention and deletion

Data on your device is kept until you delete the app. Data collected by Google or Apple is kept according to their own policies. To ask about data held by the developer — which, by design, is none — contact us.

10. Your rights

Depending on where you live (for example under the GDPR, UK GDPR or US state privacy laws such as the CCPA/CPRA), you may have rights to access, correct, delete or object to the processing of your personal data, to withdraw consent, and to opt out of the "sale" or "sharing" of personal information for targeted advertising. You can withdraw ad consent in Settings → Privacy, manage Google ad settings at https://adssettings.google.com, and contact us at the address below. You also have the right to complain to your data protection authority.

Legal bases (EEA/UK): running the game on your device (performance of the service you request), and your consent for personalised advertising where required.

11. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy. The "Last updated" date shows the latest version; significant changes will be reflected in the app's App Store page.
